TCC's Illegal Alien Crime Update - July 26, 2021

Despite denial by open borders advocates, illegal aliens add to the crime problem in the United States. The stories below give some recent examples.

Sentencing Delayed for Illegal Alien Convicted of Murdering Mollie Tibbetts with Defense Plea for New Trial

The sentencing has been delayed for the illegal alien convicted of murdering 20-year-old University of Iowa student Mollie Tibbetts in late May as his defense team requests a new trial. Iowa Judge Joel Yates has delayed the sentencing hearing for Cristhian Bahena Rivera, an illegal alien from Mexico, as the defense pleads with the court to order a new trial after two men have been named as having killed Tibbetts by two individuals. A hearing on whether Bahena Rivera should get a new trial is scheduled for July 27.

As Breitbart News reported, the defense filed a motion to the court stating that two individuals came forward to the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation on May 26 after Bahena Rivera took the witness stand and alleged he was kidnapped by two masked men who killed Tibbetts before he dumped her body in the cornfield and drove off, never hearing from the men again.

Police: Illegal Alien Faked Being Kidnapped, Raped to Secure U Visa

An illegal alien allegedly faked being kidnapped and raped in order to secure a U visa, a program allowing foreign nationals to stay in the United States if they claim to have been a crime victim.

Alma Duran, a 52-year-old illegal alien from Mexico, was arrested and charged with falsifying crimes after she allegedly admitted to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office that she actually had not been kidnapped, drugged, and raped as she previously claimed.

After police grilled Guerrero about the incident, Duran allegedly admitted that she had faked the entirety of the reported kidnapping and rape to obtain a U visa. Duran was able to get a $1,000 bond and has already bailed out of the Marion County Jail.

In 2019, the Government Accountability Office (GAO) detailed potential widespread abuse of the U visa program spurred by a provision in the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) in which more than 2,200 cases of potential fraud by foreign nationals have been detected since 2013, Breitbart News reported. 'Confused' Illegal Alien Admits To Impregnating 12-Year-Old Girl In Oklahoma

TULSA, OK – On July 14, police arrested Juan Lorenzo Miranda-Jara, 24, after he walked into Hillcrest Hospital with a 12-year-old girl, who was in labor. Hospital staff immediately notified police after admitting the girl, who gave birth to a healthy baby.

He met the girl last year, and he began having sex with her in October, according to police. He appeared confused when police officers arrived at the hospital to arrest him. He proudly informed the officers that he was the father of the baby his pregnant child-girlfriend was about to give birth to.

Miranda-Jara has been charged with first-degree rape of a minor, and is currently being held at the Tulsa County Jail.
