The CBO report on Biden's socialist spending bill has significantly understated the bill's effect on the deficit. The bill was carefully designed to manipulate CBO rules by assuming that many of the spending programs will last only a few years, then disappear. Of course, that is not what the liberals have in mind. They expect to extend the programs, which will greatly increase the cost and the deficit.
The CBO report for the first five years, which might be considered the more honest part, shows a deficit of almost $800 billion, compared to less than $300 billion for the remaining five years. That tells us there is a hidden deficit of perhaps $500 billion more in the second five years.
