Illegal Alien Crime Update- “Don’t Look Behind the Curtain” Edition

Despite denial by open borders advocates, illegal aliens add to the crime problem in the United States. The stories below give some recent examples.

While the world watches the terrible war in Ukraine, illegals still flood across our border and are being secretly flown to cities and towns across America, often late at night, and dumped on overburdened local police and welfare departments. You’re not supposed to see this.

Fourth Deportation for Illegal Alien Wanted for Murder in Mexico, Arrested Thrice by U.S. Police

How porous is the southern border? An illegal immigrant arrested three times by local police in the U.S. and wanted for murder in Mexico just got deported for the fourth time. Immigration and Customs Enforcements (ICE) classifies the Mexican national, Rafael Silverio Rojas, as a “noncitizen foreign fugitive.” This month the agency’s Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) handed Rojas to Mexican authorities at the international boundary of the Lincoln/Juarez Bridge in Laredo, Texas. Rojas, who is 26 years old, had been removed from the U.S. on three previous occasions before the most recent encounter. Somehow the fugitive managed to enter the country through the southern border again and again.

Roja’s history of illegal border crossings began in 2017 when the U.S. Border Patrol sent him back home in early July after an apprehension. He was removed twice in 2020, according to ICE, before being arrested by ERO officers in Laredo on February 23. The fugitive illegal immigrant was also arrested by the Laredo Police Department on three occasions for assault and bodily injury in 2021, federal authorities reveal. In late October of 2018, Mexican authorities in Guanajuato, in the country’s central region, issued a warrant for Rojas’ arrest. He is wanted for homicide. A Guanajuato newspaper article about Rojas’ latest deportation says Guanajuato is the Mexican state that saw the most migrants deported by the Trump administration. Of 89,000 Mexicans “repatriated” in the first five months of the Trump administration, the story says 6,566 were from Guanajuato.

Last year the federal government reported record-breaking Mexican border arrests. Federal agents apprehended an astounding 1,659,206 illegal immigrants at the southwest border in 2021, breaking the previous high of 1,643,679 in 2000. In fiscal year 2020, federal agents only arrested 400,651 on the southern border. The upsurge in just one year is difficult to grasp. Eight of the nine Border Patrol sectors saw triple-digit percentage increases in illegal immigrants over last year and one, Yuma in Arizona, reported an eye-popping 1,200.4% hike in apprehensions. The agency’s Del Rio sector in Texas had an unbelievable 542.7% surge. The Rio Grande Valley sector, also in Texas, saw a 508.7% increase and led all stations with 549,000 arrests. Del Rio reported 259,000 apprehensions which surpassed Border Patrol divisions in Texas and Arizona that typically see more traffic. Two other Texas stations, Big Bend and EL Paso, recorded apprehension gains of 331.9% and 256.5% respectively. Big Bend and El Centro in California were the only sectors that did not see six-digit apprehensions this year, though both reported major increases over 2020—331.9% for Big Bend and 115.4% for El Centro.

24 Sex Assault Charges Filed Against Illegal Aliens in One Day In NC

In a glaring demonstration of the negative impact so-called 'sanctuary sheriffs' and the Biden administration's open-border policy is having on the Tarheel state, there were at least 24 child sexual assault charges filed against illegal aliens in one day, recently, across the state.

On October 29, 2015, North Carolina Governor Pat McCrory signed into law House Bill 318, known as the Protect North Carolina Workers Act, which among other things, banned cities and counties across the state from enacting so-called “sanctuary policies” to shield illegal aliens from deportation, after being apprehended for other crimes.

Though the law banning 'sanctuary' policies throughout the state still stands, his successor, Gov. Roy Cooper, has chosen not to enforce it, and has basically given a 'wink and a nod' to several sheriffs throughout the state, who have chosen to turn their counties into havens for criminal aliens.

Illegal Immigrant Murders 4 in Jurisdiction of Sheriff Sued for Reporting Alien Criminals to ICE

“Months after a California sheriff got sued for reporting undocumented criminals to federal authorities, an illegal immigrant with a criminal history murdered four people in the veteran law enforcement official’s jurisdiction just days after being released from jail. The brutal crimes occurred in Sacramento, California where Sheriff Scott Jones was recently sued by a leftist civil rights group for transferring illegal alien offenders to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) for removal rather than release them back into the community under state sanctuary laws known as the TRUTH Act and the California Values Act. The first one, which went into effect in 2017, requires that local police give criminals in the U.S. illegally a written notice of their transfer to ICE. The second, which was enacted a year later, forbids all California law enforcement agencies from using funds or employees to “investigate, interrogate, detain or arrest persons for immigration enforcement purposes.” The measure is also known as SB 54.

Border Guards Arrest Laredo Man Wanted for Sexual Assault of a Child

Border agents in Laredo apprehended a 28-year-old man wanted in Webb County on suspicion of sexual assault of a child, according to a U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) press release.

Officers arrested the suspect, Christian Rivera, at the Juarez-Lincoln International Bridge on Monday, March 7, during a secondary inspection. Rivera was then transferred to the custody of the Webb County Sheriff’s Office.

Port Director Alberto Flores commented on the arrests, highlighting the role that border guards play in the capture of persons accused of criminal conduct.

“Assisting our law enforcement partners to locate fugitives of the law is one of the many duties our officers perform on a daily basis,” Flores said in the news release. “Apprehending individuals wanted in connection with alleged crimes of a sexual nature exemplifies the border security aspect of our mission.”

Illegal Alien Acquitted of Killing Kate Steinle Pleads Guilty to Gun Charges

The seven-time felon, five-time deported illegal alien acquitted of murdering 32-year-old Kate Steinle in 2015 has pleaded guilty to federal gun charges, prosecutors revealed on Tuesday.

Following Steinle’s 2015 killing on a pier in San Francisco, California, 51-year-old illegal alien Jose Garcia Zarate was charged with her murder after being caught on surveillance footage running from the shooting.

After his arrest, Garcia Zarate admitted to shooting and killing Steinle, who was walking on the pier at the time with her father, saying he chose San Francisco because it was a sanctuary city that shields criminal illegal aliens from arrest and deportation by federal immigration officials.

Following the verdict, Garcia Zarate was hit with federal gun charges for having a firearm while in the United States illegally. In February 2020, as Breitbart News reported, Garcia Zarate had initially been deemed mentally unfit to stand trial for the charges, but last month, a doctor found him fit for trial.

“The charges are because I was in the country illegally and I had a firearm,” Garcia Zarate said through an interpreter.
