RULES FOR THE CONSERVATIVE ONLINE PRESIDENTIAL PRIMARY
Welcome to Conservative Online Presidential Primary, presented by The Conservative Caucus.
Our process is similar to the process you see in competitions like “American Idol,” “Survivor,” or “The Apprentice.” We start with a large list of contenders and eliminate them one-by-one until we get to the winner.
That winner will have a strong claim to being “conservatives’ choice” for president in 2024.
1. STEP ONE: REGISTER TO VOTE
Exercise your right as a conservative by registering to participate in our online primary. Your registration ensures your eligibility to cast your votes.
2. VOTE FOR YOUR FAVORITE
Support your preferred candidate for President by casting your vote. Choose the one who aligns with your conservative principles and vision for America.
3. VOTE AGAINST YOUR LEAST FAVORITE
Express your concerns by voting against your least favorite candidate. Let us know who you believe should not represent the conservative movement.
4. RATE EACH CANDIDATE
Provide valuable feedback by rating each candidate on a scale of 1 to 10. Your ratings will help inform the decisions of fellow conservatives.
5. STAY ENGAGED
Visit our website regularly to participate in elimination votes. Eliminations will be held each day Monday through Saturday, starting October 4, until we get to the Top 12. Then, eliminations will be held each Monday, Wednesday, and Friday – until we get a winner, in the middle of November. (We reserve the right to adjust the schedule based on events, such as a major candidate unexpectedly entering the race). NOTE: Eliminations will resume November 24, 2023 At that time, we will do eliminations on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, with the final elimination planned for December 15.
The Bottom 2, one of whom will be eliminated each time, are:
-
The contender with the smallest number of “favorite” votes. (Tiebreakers: the lower overall rating and the greater number of “least favorite” votes.)
-
The contender with the lowest overall rating. (Tiebreakers: the smaller number of “favorite” votes and the greater number of “least favorite” votes.)
We take steps to prevent cheating such as multiple voting by one person in a single day. Once each day, you may vote to select your FAVORITE and your LEAST-FAVORITE, and you may RATE the contenders.
